About Brindle Pond
BrindlePondPatterns.com is a brand new website. The plan is to add content of my extensive (cause I'm old) knowledge of sewing, crafting, pattern making and other needle art. I've been around, I know a lot of stuff. I'm also offering sewing patterns that I designed especially for the homesteader. Well, funny thing, I only have one pattern so far . . . but in the works right now is a garden glove design. Also ('cause I've got to pay the bills) I am offering vintage, nearly vintage, out of print and new sewing patterns. Enjoy!
I do my best to provide you with 5 Star Service. I strive to give accurate and complete information and clear photos on each item. However, being that it is only me, I do occasionally miss something, so if you have specific concerns, please ask prior to buying.
A little about me
I don't have a very large homestead. I live in a little house on a dirt road in New Hampshire. I'm surrounded by woods and wild animals like foxes, groundhogs, deer, coyote, black bear (yes I said bear), hawk, raccoons opossums, and so much more. I have chickens, herb gardens, vegetable gardens, flower gardens, a dog and two cats. I have one blueberry bush and a load of wild strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. And I love it.
I've been using a sewing machine since I was a little girl. I was so small that my feet wouldn't touch the floor and I couldn't push the foot pedal. Luckily the old Singer had a knee pedal. In junior high school it was mandatory to take "Home Economics" where we learned to cook and sew for our future husbands. Well that didn't turn out so well . . . the husband I mean. But I did enjoy the sewing lessons.
I have made patterns for myself and commercially. I made clothes for my babies (who are now grown up and have their own babies . . . and young adults) I made cloth dolls in the 90's that were being sold across the country. I sewed Revolutionary and Civil War clothing including uniforms and ball gowns. I've been around! No, not that long . . . I made RW and CW clothing for reenactments.
Any way, what I'm trying to say is, I've had experience in pattern designing and sewing for a long time.
