BACKSTITCH: Basically you stitch backward. You start a stitch in your fabric and then stitch back to the beginning. You will be working from right to left


  1. Bring needle up through fabric about 1/4 inch beyond the starting point of your guideline.

  2. Work needle back to starting point of guideline. Push needle back down through fabric at that point.

  3. Bring needle back up through fabric about 1/4 inch in front of where you first pulled up thread.

  4. Work needle backwards again 1/4 inch, then up 1/4 inch in front of the last stitch, and so on until complete.
