BLIND STITCH: A durable stitch frequently used for hemming garments, appliqué and bindings.

  1. Between the main fabric and the hem, pull your thread up through just below the fold of the hem.

  2. With your needle, pick up one or two fabric threads from the main fabric, just above where you pulled the thread out.

  3. At the same time, insert the needle under the hem fold about one inch away, and out through the hem again, just below the fold as before.

  4. Continue from 2 until complete.
