PEKINGESE STITCH: A stitch formed by looping a second thread through a base of backstitches.

  1. Work backstitches along your guide line on fabric. End off.

  2. Bring thread up through fabric below first backstitch. Work thread up and under the second backstitch, looping the thread up and back, down and under the first stitch (not through the fabric).

  3. Continue along the length of stitches until each one has been looped.
